• What is the best place to put the Feeder?

No direct sun.  Hummingbirds prefer a more shady area where there may be trees or foliage for protection. This is also good for the nectar and will keep bacteria out of the feeder for a longer period of time. An ideal habitat would include flowers, nectar, pollen, shrubs, trees, and a water source.

• How often should I change nectar and clean the feeders? The feeders and base should be cleaned every 2 to 3 days depending on the heat. In 90® weather, change every day. Check often to be sure nectar is not cloudy. Bacteria and mold can build up and, If the nectar is bad, the hummers may not return. Use warm soapy water and rinse well. Use the Hummer’s Galore curved bristle brush to clean inside the feeder all the way to the bottom.
• How can I attract more hummingbird to my yard? Be sure to put your feeder up early so hummers will find you and know you are a good source. Because some hummer’s wings beat 80 times per second, they are continually feeding during all waking hours.
